Saving the template
The template is available in both portrait and landscape orientations (as well as in two different sizes). You download a zip file containing all these templates. You access the download page using the link below.
Using the template
To use the template that you saved, double-click on the file. This opens a copy of the template, and in this way the template is always opened as "new", i.e., there is no risk of the original template being overwritten.
Choosing style and colour
The template is available in three different colour schemes: blue, grey and red. The template has fixed positions for the KTH logotype, title and the column with space for author, introduction and contact details.
The template is available in a version where the user is free to outline the white text area and also where only the logotype, column for contact information and the title are controlled ("Title only"), or you can use the two predefined layouts which are available ("Title and columns for text" and "Title and text in columns and picture")..
At the bottom and at the top left of the template, there are also picture fields for the logotypes of collaboration partners. These fields can be removed if they are not going to be used.
To select a colour - go to Start>> New slide
If you find it difficult to read the text on the screen, you can zoom in on the screen while working on your poster.
Drag the zoom slider or click directly on the percentage (16% in our example above). Select the percentage zoom setting that you want.
To change the appearance of the text, use the buttons "Increase/Decrease List Level" (on the "Home" tab). The text is predefined as normal, bold and bulleted list. You can also control this manually and select the size of text you think best. Note however that the font should be either Verdana or Garamond, KTH's profile fonts, and these may not be changed.
To insert pictures in the template with predefined picture fields – click within the slide and insert your picture. Note that the picture becomes adjusted to the fixed size of the picture field. If you have any problems with the image, right click on the image and choose "Format Picture", then select "Reset Picture" in the "Picture" option.
In the template's left-hand column is a box for contact information. Names and addresses must be written in the following order:
