Inauguration of new professors and conferment of new doctors
Royal institute of technology arranges inauguration of new professors and conferment of new doctors third Friday in November each year. The ceremony takes place in Stockholm City Hall where also the Nobel prize ceremony is held. The ceremony is followed by a banquet and ball.
From mid september invitations are sent out to the following categories of guests:
- Promovendi - new doctors degree holders graduated October 5th at the latest.
- Installandi - New professors
- Honorary doctorates
- Jubilee doctorates
- Prize winners and medallists
- honoured guests
Promovendi and installandi are invited together with their spouse.
Information for new doctors and professors
Thesis supervisors are invited if their particular student is attending the ceremony.
