From KTH to industrial impact – Meet KTH spinoff Mercene Labs
How do you go from research on new materials to finding a potential use for your results, establishing production and scaling up for industrial application? Researchers at KTH are invited to meet the founders of KTH spinoff Mercene Labs, and hear the story of how they did it.
Tid: On 2019-10-02 kl 11.30 - 13.00
Plats: Fantum, Lindstedtsvägen 24
Tommy Haraldsson and Fredrik Carlborg, both researchers at the KTH Department of Micro and Nano Systems, were originally developing new polymers for biochips. However, they soon suspected that their technology could be useful in other large markets.
The journey started nine years ago when the researchers reached out to KTH Innovation. Now, Mercene Labs has grown to a team of seven and their products are not only used for biochips, but also in flooring and furniture.
Join us at KTH Innovation for a lunch seminar on October 2nd, 11.30-13.00. Meet the founders of Mercene Labs, and hear the story of how Mercene Labs developed and scaled up their new materials.
You will also find out how KTH Innovation can support you in commercializing your own research, and meet with KTH Innovation’s Business Development Coaches. A light lunch will be served.
