Hacking the Internet of Things
Recently the Division of Network and Systems Engineering at KTH has conducted a number of bachelor and master thesis projects on ethical hacking of Internet of Things devices. The students have attempted to penetrate smart locks, connected vehicles, robot vacuum cleaners and more. In several cases, critical vulnerabilities have been uncovered allowing, for instance, the remote control of devices. The widespread presence of such vulnerabilities constitutes a disconcerting problem of computer-based system. In this talk, some of the discovered vulnerabilities are presented, with explanations of how they might exploited.

Working in Cyber Defence
Since 2016, the Swedish Armed Forces, together other relevant government agencies, has been tasked with developing capabilities that strengthen Sweden's cyber defence posture. This talk will present what working in this area in the Swedish Armed Forces can be like, including ways to become part of and contribute to our cyber defence posture.

The engineer’s role in national cyber security
Never before has our technological systems faced such motivated, capable and persistent adversaries.
This is a reason why we engineers need to contribute to and provide solutions that are robust and secure enough to face those threats.
Scientists and engineers with their knowhow are a natural part of the solution and Saab would like to invite you to a presentation about your role in Cyber Security.
