🎯 Goal & Content of the Event

This Staff Week will, among other, explore how European University Alliances are implemented and sustained in practice, with particular focus on:

  • Mobility models
  • Multilateral cooperation
  • Inclusion & diversity
  • Internationalisation at Home
  • The evolving role of International Offices

Participants will engage in:

  • 🗣️ Case sharing sessions
  • 🛠️ Interactive workshops
  • 🔄 Exchange of tools, challenges & good practices

The programme will also provide space for:

  • 🤝 Professional networking
  • 🏫 Insights into Reykjavík University departments and support services
  • 🇮🇸 A glimpse of Iceland as a study & work destination

In addition, participants will have the opportunity to connect through selected joint networking activities with colleagues from Reykjavík University.

 

👥 Who Should Participate?

We welcome applications from:

  • Administrative staff
  • International Office staff
  • Professionals working with internationalisation, mobility & partnerships

🌐 Participants from universities worldwide are encouraged to apply.

📝 Application & Acceptance

  • Application deadline: 30 March 2026
  • Application form: Registration for the Reykjavík University International Staff Week October 2026 – Fill out form

As places are limited, all applications will be reviewed after the deadline.
Selected participants will be notified shortly thereafter.

Maximum number of participants: 40

 

📊 Selection Criteria

Applications will be assessed based on:

  • Priority to universities offering a presentation on a relevant topic
  • Motivation & professional relevance
  • Strategic partnership alignment
  • Geographical diversity (does not have to be involved in an EU alliance) 
  • 1–2 participants per institution
 

💶 Programme Fee

Registration fee: €190

Includes:

  • 🎁 Welcome pack
  • 🧩 Participation in all workshops & materials
  • ☕ Coffee breaks
  • 🍽️ Lunches at Reykjavík University
  • 🍷 One group dinner
  • 🚌 Guided bus tour (route TBD)

Payment details will be shared upon acceptance.
Participation is confirmed once payment has been received.

 

🇪🇺 Erasmus+ Funding

Participants may apply for Erasmus+ staff mobility funding through their home institution, in line with internal procedures and eligibility rules.
