Authorship for scientific publications is central to academic merit. Collaborations across disciplines and between different research environments in different countries are becoming more common, but guidelines and traditions for authorship differ between different disciplines and in different environments. As a co-author, you also have a responsibility for quality and may be held liable for suspicions of "misconduct in research" (eg fabrication, falsification or plagiarism) and other serious deviations from good research practice.

How should one navigate the difficult and ethically sensitive area of academic co-writing? What rules and guidelines are there for co-authorship in different areas? How to avoid conflicts over authorship issues?

The seminar is led by Per Wikman Svahn and Barbro Fröding at the Department of Philosophy, KTH.

Welcome to register for this workshop on October 22, 2020!
