Procedures at KTH

The KTH Campus is a living environment which also offers opportunities to organise conferences and congresses. Education and research is the primary activity on campus, and so it is important to familiarise yourself with the guidelines that exist for conference activities and the services available to make planning and implementation easier.

Lecture halls and exercise rooms on campus booked for conferences and congresses are charged by KTH Room booking with a conference surcharge of 15 per cent. These 15 per cent give organisers access to the equipment and services offered by KTH's IT department and Site service department.

Other costs for products and services are charged according to a price list and are invoiced by the Site service department and by the IT department.

You will find more information on how to book premises, equipment and services under each tab. Please be sure to place all orders in good time as the demand for premises, equipment and services is high during certain periods of the year.

The procedures for ordering equipment and services differ slightly depending on the size of the conference or congress. KTH's conference consultant is always on hand to provide advice and support for conferences and congresses organised at KTH regardless of size. The following describes what is applicable:

Conferences with fewer than 150 participants

The equipment and services included in the rent for conference premises are ordered directly via the Site service department and the IT department.

Site service department

IT department

Conferences with 150 participants or more

The equipment and services included in the rent for conference premises are ordered via the Conference and Event group .

Please try to place all your orders in good time. KTH has a large number of events per year, and the demand for premises, technical equipment and eating areas is high.

The Conference and Event group exists to facilitate your role as organiser. If you do not find the answers to your questions here or would like more information, please contact us.
