Towards health equity – global insights and Swedish experiences
Join us for a half-day seminar exploring how health equity can be advanced in Sweden and globally.
Guided by recommendations from WHO’s 2025 landmark report on the social determinants of health, the event brings together researchers, policymakers, and experts for keynote presentations, panel and group discussions, and a networking lunch.
Time: Tue 2025-10-21 08.30 - 13.00
Location: Christina Larsdotter, KI, Berzelius väg 3, Solna (Ground floor in Berzeliuslaboratoriet)
How can we move towards greater health equity in Sweden and worldwide? Twenty years after WHO’s influential report on social determinants of health, a new 2025 edition highlights why equity matters more than ever – pointing to climate, food, and social environments as critical factors. The report shows that while health gaps are narrowing between countries, they are widening within them – and Sweden is no exception.
This seminar brings together researchers, policymakers, and experts to discuss current challenges and opportunities for advancing health equity. The programme includes keynote presentations, a panel discussion, interactive group dialogues, and a networking lunch. The event will be held in English.
