Recent decisions at KTH in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic put pressure on us to replace written examinations on campus with other forms of assessment. In this talk we will present some options that recent research in engineering education theory and practice have shown to be highly successful. We explore these methods in terms of equity of assessment and academic accountability as well as their ability to reveal student capability in relation to Intended Learning Outcomes (ILO) of different types and their vulnerability to dishonest academic conduct.

The presentation will be shorter than usual (15-20 minutes) and a large portion of the time will be devoted to collegial discussion allowing our colleagues who have already made changes to their assessment to share their experiences and the opportunities and pitfalls we may encounter.

This webinar's presentation will be held in English followed by a discussion in Swedish.
