Workshop on on Integrating Gender Equality, Diversity, and Equal Conditions (JML) in Education
Gender equality, diversity, and equal conditions (JML) are an important part of KTH’s educational development and are highlighted in the strategic decision on JML for 2026–2030. To support the work of integrating JML into programs and courses, a series of workshops is now being offered for program directors and teachers.
Time: Mon 2026-10-05 13.00 - 16.00
Location: Campus Valhallavägen (Registration required)
Each workshop addresses a specific theme and combines knowledge sharing with practical work addressing the participants’ own questions and challenges. You can participate in a single workshop or attend the entire series, but we encourage everyone to participate in as many workshops as possible.
The workshops include:
• experiences and examples from invited colleagues,
• knowledge and experiences regarding JML in education from the JML Integration Support Group,
• group discussions and sharing of experiences,
• support for your own development efforts from the JML Integration Support Group.
The JML Integration Support Group includes Anne-Kathrin Peters (Learning in STEM), Charlotte Holgersson (INDEK), Marie Magnell (Learning in STEM), Roh Petas (KTH Equality Office) and Åsa Rurling (UA).
In the Autumn of 2026, the workshop series will focus on subject integration, learning objectives, and learning activities. In the Spring of 2027, topics such as assessment, resistance, and the learning environment will be addressed.
Workshops are offered in both Swedish and English.
Fall 2026
Subject Integration: How can JML be linked to the programme’s or course’s subject content? We identify components in programs and courses where JML can be integrated.
Swedish: October 5, 1:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.
English: October 16, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Goals: How can JML be integrated into the chain of degree objectives, program objectives, and course objectives? We will work on formulating goals.
Swedish: November 4, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
English: November 12, 1:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.
Learning Activities: What learning activities can be used to integrate JML into programs and courses? We will develop and learn from specific learning activities.
Swedish: December 2, 1:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.
English: December 10, 1:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.
