The assignment includes, based on national and KTH’s internal regulations, looking at one specific decision to call a person as professor and conducting an overall analysis of how KTH has used the procedure for offering professorships, in relation to legislation, preprocess and KTH’s employment regulations and guidelines. The process at KTH for offering professorships dates back to 2011.

The investigator is expected to submit recommendations to KTH on future measures for offering professorships and any other related issues regarding teacher appointments.

The inquiry will also provide the basis for the statement that KTH’s governing board must submit to the Swedish Higher Education Authority (Universitetskanslersämbetet, UKÄ) , in connection with the report that the authority has received.

Rönnmar is a researcher in labor law in the Faculty of Law at Lund.
