KU Leuven's International Staff Week

Visit us at the International Staff Week, a 4-day event at KU Leuven which aims to strengthen the cooperation between KU Leuven staff and international colleagues from partner institutions. Get to know KU Leuven and build your international network whilst exploring some of the most beautiful towns in Belgium.

Please note we have a maximum of 2 participants from the same institution, as we want to guarantee a good mix of participants. Registration fee is € 75. This includes a welcome dinner, lunches, transport to the campuses and organised visits and tours. 

Please check with your own institution if Erasmus+ staff mobility funding is available.

Programme 

The next edition of the staff week will take place from Tuesday 27/10/2026 until Friday 30/10/2026. During these 4 days we will explore 'The role of international educators & advisors in a rapidly changing world'. How are global shifts - from the rise of generative AI to the growing importance of intercultural competencies - reshaping our work? Join us for interactive sessions, discussions, and workshops exploring this central topic.

The KU Leuven staff week is based in the city of Leuven, but includes a visit to Brussel and a full-day trip to either Antwerp or Ghent. This allows visitors to explore different campuses and neighbouring cities. Enjoy a special visit to the European parliament for a keynote on the future of European higher education.

The staff week includes several networking activities, a walking dinner, guided tours and the opportunity to promote your institution at our Go Global/study abroad fair on Thursday evening 29/10.
