Reporting of crimes occurring within KTH
Reporting crime is part of the systematic security work that contributes to crime prevention, which in the long run leads to a reduced risk of vulnerability, losses to educational activities and research, and that we can maintain continuity in the activities and contribute to a safe and secure work environment.
From these pages, you can obtain information on how you can reduce the risk of criminal offences occurring within KTH as well as prevention measures and how to report crimes. This site is under development and therefore concerns primarily crimes such as theft, burglaries and vandalism.
The security unit is a central support for crimes affecting the activities at KTH by acting as an advisory body, joint efforts internally and externally, and by offering administrative support in crime prevention and efforts to establish a more safe and secure work environment.
By means of knowledge of which crimes we are subjected to, where they occur, and to what extent, we can establish the preconditions for preventing crime and limiting its consequences.
When the occurrence of a crime becomes known to us, we also obtain the possibility to investigate the cause and measure the impact on educational and research activities. This in turn provides better preconditions for dimensioning the protection, so that it is in balance with our vulnerabilities.
