Receiving guest researchers
There are several ways to support researchers who are refugees in Sweden through both employment and scholarship funding, via Scholars at Risk and the Research Council's initiatives.
KTH has developed guidelines to support the schools regarding scholarship-financed stays or fixed-term employment for Ukrainian researchers and visiting professors. Contact the Head of School if you are in contact with a Ukrainian researcher who is a refugee in Sweden and who could be connected to KTH.
Scholars at Risk at KTH coordinates various funding opportunities for guest researchers and matches researchers and research environments at KTH. For advice regarding various possibilities, contact Nina Wormbs via kth-sar@kth.se .
Cooperation with Russia and Belarus ends
KTH is ending its collaborations and contacts with government institutions in Russia and Belarus, at the request of the government. No new contacts of any kind should be initiated with Russian or Belarusian institutions.
KTH wants to emphasize that individuals from Russia and Belarus should not automatically be equated with state institutions, nor should they be held accountable for the actions of their governments. For example, it is possible to continue publishing together with Russian and Belarusian researchers and to undertake review assignments of these researchers' publications. An assessment needs to be made in the individual case, if necessary in dialogue with the head of department.
