Meeting places and cooperation

At KTH there are several well-established activities that offer support to KTH's researchers and employees in the work of creating impact, that is, reaching out with knowledge and influencing society.

KTH Research Support Office  - support for extern financing.

KTH Sustainability Office  – integration of the environment and sustainable development within education, research and collaboration.

KTH Innovation  – support for innovation and entrepneurship.

KTH Library  – contributes to an open publishing landscape and promotes open science.

KTH Lifelong learning  – education primarily aimed at professionals who want to further their education or develop their skills.

KTH Platforms – virtual units that bring together research groups from across the university. CBH's focus areas are gathered under:

CBH research centres  – conducts research above all in new areas and often in collaboration with society and industry.

KTH Research infrastructures  – The idea of a research infrastructure encompasses a wide range of activities, from large national research labs to smaller labs and expensive individual instruments.

Industry-employed doctoral students  – Having industry-employed doctoral students is an effective way of strengthening long-term relationships with the wider community and increasing our understanding of society’s challenges.

Adjunct professor  – An affiliate faculty appointment should be seen as a strategic instrument with which both parties can strengthen and influence the direction and focus of a research area, or support undergraduate and advanced education at KTH.

International and interdisciplinary sabbatical periods  – Sabbatical periods for teachers offers an opportunity for carreer development and strengthens renewal in the organization as well as the international presence of KTH.
