Amelie about Future Education at KTH

Published Apr 12, 2023

Head of school Amelie Eriksson Karlström writes about the framework for Future Education at KTH and which projects we should work on at the CBH School.

Last week, I attended a half-day conference together with the CBH School's GA and two deputy Gas, to discuss KTH’s future education. The framework for Future Education contains 13 principles  that will guide the development of KTH's future education. The principles were decided in 2022 and now it is time to move on with concrete development projects.

Each school has drawn up proposals that were discussed at the conference – with the other schools and with KTH's management. It was a good discussion and we were able to establish that the schools have similar challenges that we want to work with in a number of selected pilot projects. From the CBH School, however, we had more proposals than we will have the opportunity to launch this year, and we will therefore have to look more closely at the proposals and select which ones we want to start with.

Our project proposals span several areas: digital examination, expanded recruitment, improved throughput, program development, access to experimental environments and maker space, etc. The proposals were all well motivated and we hope that the proposals that are not selected in this first round may instead be implemented later on.
