Mikael on sustainability at CBH

Published May 06, 2021

Head of School Mikael Lindström writes about KTH's new sustainability and climate objectives and how we will work to achieve these at the CBH School.

We at CBH contribute to sustainable development by educating, researching and collaborating with the surrounding society. Through our operations, we also have a concrete impact on the environment through, for example, consumption of materials and water, energy and chemical use, travel, transport and construction, as well as indirectly in purchasing and procurement. KTH has adopted new environmental objectives for the period 2021-2025 in the areas that have been established by KTH as significant environmental aspects. On 28 May a Webinar on KTH's new sustainability objectives in everyday life will be held.

Webinar: KTH's university-wide sustainability and climate objectives

Focus areas for the period 2021-2025 are organization and governance, education, research and collaboration, travel and transport, procurement and waste, food and serving, and biodiversity. The CBH School will develop an action plan for how we will work with these environmental objectives. Several of the school's routines will change and we have started with the area of food and serving. All catering must be ordered via the form  available on our intranet. The CBH School strives to have as low an environmental impact as possible, therefore we encourage you to order locally produced and according to the season if possible.
