Mikael about KTH's operational plan

Published Sep 15, 2022

Head of School Mikael Lindström writes about KTH's operational plan for 2023.

On Tuesday, in KTH's strategic council, we discussed the operational plan for 2023. A large part of the time was devoted to the education of the future. On June 14, the President made a decision on principles for future education (V-2022-0380). The principles shall form a framework for the development of KTH's educations. The vice presidents for education and the dean, in their roles as chairman and vice-chairman of the board of education, respectively, are tasked with carrying out a current situation analysis and collecting "best practice" both based on lessons learned from the pandemic and continuous educational development. During 2023, a timetable for the work with educational development based on the principles must be established and impact targets established for each principle.

The vice president for education is also tasked with coordinating the schools' work with educational development based on the principles and ensuring that there is cooperation between the schools, as well as striving for synergy effects. The respective head of school is tasked with establishing a strategy for the school's educational development based on the principles in 2023, with specified priority areas for 2023–2025. We at the CBH School will initiate this work through our GA, deputy GA's, program managers and involve you teachers and the support activities in 2023.

In research, the schools' analysis of the RAE reports was taken up and the action plans that have been drawn up and must be submitted to the President on September 30. In 2023, the focus is on implementing these action plans. This also applies to any measures at a KTH-wide level. We will come back with a presentation of the CBH School's action plan during our staff meetings this fall.
