Mikael on lifelong learning

Lifelong learning at KTH refers partly to the direct government funded continuing professional development and partly to contract education. Of KTH's educational volume, 20 per cent will be in lifelong learning from 2023. The educational offer in lifelong learning must be focused on future learning environments and educational models and must to a large extent be offered digitally.

Each school has designated a function with responsibility for lifelong learning. The CBH School has appointed Peta Sjölander. At the next strategic council meeting, on March 18, we have invited Peta to begin work on a CBH strategy. Points we will discuss:

1. Who are CBH’s current customers/clients? Where do we have gaps/opportunities?
2. How do we ensure a good dialogue with our clients and that the training we are delivering has the desired effect?
3. What do we see as success factors for, and challenges to, achieving KTH’s ambition for lifelong learning (i.e. 20% of educational activity by 2023)?
4. Are there sufficient incentives for CBH teachers to get involved in commissioned training or increase their participation?
5. What are the conditions for providing commissioned training today (incl. in the current corona situation)? And what internal resources are we going to need?
