Dear colleagues,

During this and the last week we conducted our staff meetings via Zoom at SciLifeLab, Flemingsberg, Valhallavägen and AlbaNova. It's been fun to see so many of you even though it's in the form of a small square picture on my screen. At one point, we were 100 participants and we went through the latest news from the organization. We talked about, among other things, the COVID-19 research conducted by employees at CBH and the result for the first quarter of 2020 which was SEK + 4 million for FoFu and SEK -1.3 million for GRU, which is better than at the same time last year. Furthermore, we talked about how we are increasing the number of students on the bachelor and base years this autumn term. Vice President for Education Leif Kari will set up a working group, tasked with developing reasonable solutions on how we will fulfill the task. RAE 2020 is, as you know, affected by the corona crisis and the on-site visits have been moved to week 34 in 2021, but in August this year we will have a dialogue with the dean about materials that we are now submitting on April 30. In conjunction with the RAE, we have looked at publication data and the CBH School was quoted 30 percent above the world average, which is highest at KTH. In first place among our institutions is Gene Technology, closely followed by Protein Science and Chemistry in third place. On Tuesday, the external environmental audit, which went on for two days via Zoom, was completed. The external auditors take great pride in the content here at KTH, and this is something we should also do more internally. This year's audit report contains zero deviations, which is largely a merit of all the talented employees.
