Mikael on planning for the autumn

Published May 12, 2021

Head of School Mikael Lindström writes about how the work at KTH will be conducted in the autumn and how the planning for a return to campus work continues.

Many of us are thinking about what the autumn at KTH will look like, f0r both our students and for us employees. Yesterday, the coordination group had a meeting about the return in autumn 2020. We work according to three scenarios: low, medium and high spread of infection/burden on healthcare. Our main scenario is that we return to KTH after the summer holidays and that the students are taught on our Campus. We are encouraged to maintain the digital elements that have worked well in teaching during the year.

Instructions regarding telework will be updated. If your work can be performed at home to some extent will always be decided in dialogue with your immediate supervisor. We at the CBH School will conduct a workshop with our heads of department, administrative head and deputy Deputy Head of School, on how we can primarily use our experience of digital working methods as we are physically located in four places in the Stockholm area. We will also discuss the return at our upcoming digital workplace meetings (APT) and there is already material that can be used on the intranet.

Now I hope that everyone gets some well-deserved rest during the coming long weekend and that the vaccine and the weather mean that we can look forward to better times.
