Become the new Director of First and Second Cycle Education at CBH

The assignment for the current Director of First and Second Cycle Education (GA) ends at the end of the semester, and the school therefore needs to appoint a new GA. The assignment starts 1 October 2023 and you must apply no later than 12 August 2023.

The assignment

The assignment starts 1 October 2023. Estimated workload when the handover is completed is 50 % of a full-time position.

Areas of responsibility

The GA is responsible for the quality of the education at the first and second cycle at the school, for the school's education program to be developed in line with KTH's overall strategy and goals, and for the quality of the school's education for lifelong learning. The development of education programs must take place in agreement with KTH's other schools.

Furthermore, Director of First and Second Cycle Education is responsible for:

  • The school's programs and course offerings at qualifying level, first cycle, second cycle and for lifelong learning, and that the offering is developed in line with KTH's strategy and goals with a particular focus on gender equality, sustainable development, internationalization and digitization.
  • The overall systematic quality work for education at qualifying level, basic level and advanced level.
  • To collaborate with KTH's other schools on matters relating to educational quality.
  • Strategy for student recruitment.
  • The internationalization of education and cooperation with the surrounding society.

Competency requirements

The GA must have experience in teaching at first and second cycle, experience in being a course supervisor and examiner, and experience in conducting research.

In addition, the Director of First and Second Cycle Education must have (1) completed a doctoral degree, (2) higher education education and (3) examination rights for education at first level and advanced level during their term of office.

The Head of School decides to appoint a Director of First and Second Cycle Education after consultation with the Vice President for education.
