KTH President Sigbritt Karlsson visits School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science

President of KTH Sigbritt Karlsson, has visited the school of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in Kista and Valhallavägen. Discussion about the school's future development took place during a hearing streamed for everyone to watch and participate in.

Head of School, Jens Zander and Deputy Head of School Lars Nordström, welcomed the President at Electrum in Kista were they enjoyed a breakfast. Followed by a tour of Electrumlab, Kista Mentor Space and also a visit to Electrum's Service Center.

After driving to Campus Valhallavägen, the Department of Media Technology and Interaction Design had the opportunity to have a moment with Sigbritt for a round trip and discussion about the department’s research and education. The same opportunity was given to the Parallel Computer Center and the Department of Robotics, Perception and Learning.

A relaxing lunch awaited before the President entered D1 for a hearing with the entire school staff. As there is no campus premises that fit all EECS school staff, the President's information was streamed so everyone could join. Sigbritt Karlsson talked about the universities future and what's going on at KTH right now. The hearing ended with questions from the audience.

The hearing was followed by a visit to Smart mobility lab and EXTRAP where more demonstrations and discussions took place. After a really intensive day, Jens Zander together with Sigbritt Karlsson and the school's management team concluded the days programme and various discussions over a coffee.
