New call: KTH–Korea University Joint Research Seed Fund
KTH and Korea University (KU) are launching the first call for the KTH–KU Joint Research Seed Fund, aimed at initiating and developing new collaborative research partnerships between the two universities.
The call is open to researchers from all disciplines and research areas. Each project must include one principal investigator (PI) from each university and involve at least two eligible researchers from each institution in total. Early career researchers (ECRs) are particularly encouraged to participate. PhD researchers may be part of the project team but are not eligible to serve as PIs.
Funding supports collaboration-building activities such as joint research (e.g. scoping or proof-of-concept studies), mobility, networking and researcher exchanges, with clear plans for securing future external funding. Projects that primarily focus on teaching or training are not eligible.
KTH can award up to SEK 100,000 per project. Projects may run for up to 18 months, starting from 1 July 2026 at the earliest.
The call opens on 27 April 2026. The application deadline is 25 May 2026.
