VR - Strategic Recruitment of Assistant Professors 2
The purpose of the grant is to give the most promising junior researchers the opportunity to develop independence and to build scientific and teaching merits for employment as a senior lecturer. After evaluation, continued funding at senior lecturer level may be granted for up to five years. The grant will also reward mobility and recruitment of strategic relevance for the higher education institution.
KTH is allowed to send in 6 applications. At least half of the researchers nominated must have an international background. Nominations from each university must have a balanced gender distribution, at KTH meaning 3 women and 3 men. 18/5 Deadline at the schools for a pre-proposal containing:
- Fact sheet – project title, applicant (name, gender, school at KTH, email address, defense date, postdoc period(s) and if you are an internal or external applicant). External applicant means that, for at least the past four years, the researcher has held employment and conducted research activities outside Sweden.
- Project description (max 2 pages).
- CV, including information about the candidate's mobility and international experience (max 2 pages).
- Support letter with a motivation from the nominating school (max 1 page).
Please put the different parts (max 6 pages!) of the application together into one PDF! The proposals are sent to the person responsible for future faculty at your school (see above) . Each school can nominate max 5 applicants. At least 40 percent of the candidates must be men and women respectively, and at least 40 percent of the candidates must be external.

15/9 Deadline at VR (2 pm). The nominee submits the application through Prisma .
