Wallenberg Scholars 2023

Universities can apply for support for profiling by nominating individual researchers, who through their research and development potential are of the highest international class and are expected to contribute to strengthening the current profile of the research area at their university. It is freely available support for the individual's research activities. The intention is that the selected researchers will be able to work with a high level of ambition to have even better international impact for their research, and be given an opportunity to invest in bolder and more long-term projects.

In accordance to KAW guidelines, KTH will initiate a first selection of applications. KTH may send in 9 candidates, of which at least 4 from the underrepresented sex. Each head of school may therefore nominate up to 6 candidates, of which at least 40 percent from the underrepresented sex. It is meritorious if nominated researchers have previously received large grants such as ERC grants, KAW projects, KAW Fellows or other significant grants in their fields. The selected candidates submit their CV (maximum 3 pages) to the Research Support Office  no later than 31 January 2023. It is then the Vice President for Research (or equivalent) who selects which 9 candidates may submit their applications.

The call opens on 1 March 2023 with a deadline of 12 May 2023.
