International research infrastructures
International research infrastructures are large facilities and collaborations that several countries jointly build and operate. Sweden participates as a member or host, and the infrastructure is regulated through international agreements.
Many are organised as European Research Infrastructure Consortia (ERICs) and are often listed on the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI), which highlights long-term investments that are important for European research.
KTH hosts and participates in a number of international research infrastructures.
