Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees
The Joint Master Degree action (EMJMD) is an opportunity for KTH to seek funding for joint Master's programmes leading to a joint or double degree. EMJMD is one of the actions within the EU programme Erasmus+ and seeks to support the delivery of joint Master's programmes by offering scholarships to students worldwide for their participation in these programmes.
Summary of action
The Erasmus+ EMJMD action will be funding a number of joint Master's degree programmes, including management and student scholarships. The programmes applying for the action must be fully developed at the time of the application including a draft Consortium Agreement. The JMD programmes must consist of;
- 60, 90 or 120 ECTS.
- a consortium of institutions from at least 3 programme countries, with studies and degree awarded from at least 2 programme countries.
- result in a joint or double degree with a joint diploma supplement.
- 4 consecutive student intakes.
The programme offers 13-20 student scholarships and at least 4 scholars/guest lecturers per intake. The initial funding period is 4 to 5 years covering four consecutive student intakes.
Application and deadline
The application deadline for 2020 was 13 February at 17.00 CET. Estimated time to prepare, complete and gain internal approval for a project proposal is nine months.

Process for preparation of project proposal
- Contact your School/Department Management and Administration in order to ensure internal support to the initiative. N.B. New initiatives shall be presented by the School to KTH Management for approval before proposal submission.
- Discuss with potential partners and stakeholders.
- Contact the GVS-BUS group for an overview of the process for new programmes at KTH gvs-bus@kth.se .
- Contact IRO for useful information and generic texts.
- Prepare your proposal in line with the programme guide documents above.
- Prepare the draft Consortium Agreement, the Student Agreement and the Joint Diploma Supplement
- Contact the IRO for finalisation, proof reading.
- Provide documents for signatures: manadate (KTH as partner) or Declaration of honour (KTH as coordinator) togehter with signed School approval Form to IRO, for signatures from KTH Legal Representative 10 days before deadline. School approval/Skolans medgivande (docx 63 kB)
