Email signatures in Thunderbird

Manual to insert a signature in Thunderbird.

Thunderbird has two ways to insert signatures in emails: from the settings of the account and from a file.

1. From the account settings

  • Go to Tools> Account Settings> Current Account. Select the account name> Signature text.
  • You can choose to paste a plain text signature or format it with html.

2. From file

  • Create a signature in a text file. It can be plain text, html, pictures, etc. Save it as a text (.txt) or html (.htm, .html) file.
  • Go to Tools> Account Settings> Current Account. Select the account name> Signature text.
  • Choose to use signature from fill by clicking the box "Attach the signature from a file instead"
  • Use Choose to select the text file created previously.
  • Click Ok.
