Updated status: Problem with outgoing e-mail delay

Outgoing mail is queued before delivery

System/Service: E-mail

Interruption: KTH have changed the outgoing e-mail servers and have new IP addresses. As a result the receiving organisations dont recognise it as KTH. Due to that e-mail sent from KTH will be queued before accepted by the receiving organisation. It will be queued for a while but will be delivered eventually.

Status: We have reverted thic change back to the old mailservers so emails sent from KTH will be delivered faster.

This is not an error but in line with how a modern e-mailsystem works to protect from spam. The problem will fade away in time when the new KTH servers achieve status at the recieving organizations/systems.

Who is affected: Students and employees sending mail from KTH.

How the interuption affects you: Mail you send will be queued. An errormessage like below might be bounced back to you. But as it says you dont have to resend your e-mail:
