High load on remote access tools
Under prevailing conditions with Corona virus, it becomes more common for people at KTH to work remotely. This increases the load on the services we provide for remote access and you can sometimes experience operational disruptions.
We have extra monitoring on these systems and are looking at increasing capacity in the form of licenses and performance to meet the increased load.
Only use these services if you really need to. This makes the resources available to those who really need to use those resources.
An example is VPN. Most services at KTH are web-based and do not require VPN connection. The VPN connection are usually only needed to access home directory and shared folders.
