Science week attracted 4000 visitors

January 30, the new KTH Södertälje and Södertälje Science Park were opened in the presence of, among others, the Minister for Higher Education and Research, Helene Hellmark Knutsson, Scania's CEO Henrik Henriksson, AstraZeneca's CEO Jan-Olof Jacke, Peter Wallenberg, KTH's rector Sigbritt Karlsson, Jan Wikander, prefect Kristina Palm and 300 guests.

The following days, Science Week was conducted, with approximately 70 different seminars on research, entrepreneurship and innovation with lecturers from KTH, Scania, AstraZeneca and Södertälje Kommun. KTH organized 15 seminars with a total of approximately 400 participants. In the evenings, an after work was conducted, with a variety of activities that were greatly appreciated.

On Saturday there was an open house for the public, students and employees. You could attend the robot building, paint graffiti and listen to lectures held by KTH. Student counselors and students were in place, and the students showed up in the building. Saturday was very well visited.

The week ended on Sunday with Engineer Career Day at Tom Tits, where the study advisors attended.

During the week, several media drew attention to the opening of new KTH Södertälje and Södertälje Science Park. SVT, DN, DI, SvD, Ny Teknik, Länstidningen and Södertäljeposten wrote about the opening ceremony. As it was in LT: "one of the biggest days in Södertälje's history".
