Climate actions involve efforts to mitigate climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to its current and future effects. These actions are vital for addressing the global challenge posed by a changing climate, across all sectors, including the food industry. This session will explore key issues and outstanding challenges in improving the design and management of safe, reliable, accessible, and sustainable supply chains, through the development of predictive analytical tools and technologies – particularly within the water-food nexus.

Special emphasis will be placed on the Eco-Shift framework, promoting a holistic transformation in mindsets, public policy, cultural attitudes, and lifestyles in relation to supply chain and market optimisation, the management of human health risks in goods and services, and ensuring access to healthy ecosystems.
