​​​​​​​In this workshop, you will explore how to use natural resources to make your own bioplastic yarn. No requirements for chemistry knowledge are needed, and all materials will be provided.

Nina Canova

Nina Canova

Nina has an interdisciplinary background in materials science and innovation for circularity. She has contributed to several EU projects focused on co-creation for climate adaptation, circular textile industries and the start-up ecosystem. As a researcher she has always been fascinated by how we can reconnect with nature through nature-based solutions. For this purpose she started the creative collective Materials For Future with Guoda in 2023, focusing on regenerative design. She is currently pursuing an MSc in Sustainable Technology at KTH. 

Guoda Treciokaite

Guoda Treciokaite

Guoda has a background in Nanoscience from Trinity College Dublin and has studied Design Thinking at D-School HPI Potsdam. She’s the founder of Kombutex, a research and design project focusing on developing innovative materials solutions in the fashion industry based on “kombucha leather”. She’s passionate about textiles, design and the circular economy. She currently works in product development, runs Materials for Future with Nina and coaches workshops in design thinking. During her free time, she crochets and makes knitwear under the name Langsam Projects.
