KTH ReUse and ReCycle day at Campus Fair, 21 august Spring cleaning? Is your bike skipping a gear or you need to patch your tire? Take the opportunity to recycle what no longer gives you joy at Stockholm Vatten and Avfall's Pop-up Recycling Container and get help to service your bike. Date: 21 August, 10.00-14.00. Seminar: Beyond recycling, 21 august Stockholm aims to become one of the world's most sustainable cities. One step in achieving this aim is the development of waste management that is simple, sustainable and forward thinking. To achieve an effective waste management the life span of furniture, clothing and kitchen accessories must be prolonged. When the same item changes owners several times, consumption becomes more sustainable. Speakers: Katarina Luhr, Vice Mayor of Environment and Climate Stockholm Stad, Karin Bradley, Programme Director Mistra Sustainable Consumption KTH, Göran Finnveden, Vice President for Sustainability KTH and Karin Sundin, Technical Officer Stockholm Vatten och Avfall.

Sustainability Pub for PhD students: Guest speaker Sverker Sörlin, 19 sept Welcome to a pub night for PhD students and young researchers interested in sustainability. Say hello, grab a drink and a bite while you mingle with fellow doctoral candidates from Stockholm region interested in and or working within sustainability research. All disciplines, expertise and interests linked to sustainability are welcome. The pub night is an opportunity for all who are interested in sustainability to meet in a relaxed form.
