KTH Sharing Mapjam, 19 feb

Put Sharing on the Map! A MapJam is an event under the KTH SforS Resource Sharing project where a small, dedicated group of people get together for a while to map as many sharing services in their city or town as possible. Like a music jam, it will be fun, social, and interactive.

KTH and the surrounding areas have a magnitude of resources right from physical resources such as study spaces, microwaves, sports equipment, cutlery used by different student organisations to non-physical resources such as skills and knowledge which can be shared among the student community. On the map you can, among other things, find bike kitchens, swap groups, clothing swap days, free shops and digital platforms. Our aim is to facilitate this exchange of resources so that students can make the most use of resources at their disposal and unnecessary consumption is reduced. The Smart Map will make it easier for people to live more sustainably, by encouraging community, new meetings and access over ownership.

The mapjam at KTH is hosted by KTH Students for Sustainability and KTH Sustainability Office.

Mother of Invention: Why including women is the missing key to innovation

Why didn’t we get wheels on suitcases until 1972? Why were electric cars considered “feminine” when they first arrived more than 100 years ago? Hear Katrine Marçal talk about why the future will be shaped by companies that dare to think differently about women and inclusion.

This call is aimed at projects which employ artificial intelligence (AI) to contribute towards Sweden's goal of having no net emissions of greenhouse gases by 2045; or generally, to adapt to the varying conditions due to climate change.

Both researchers at KTH and external partners are welcome. Participants need to provide a project idea, a short description about her/his own expertise and what partner she/he is looking for in order to apply. This is done as part of the registration. More information and registration here
