International exchange studies
The same restrictions apply regardless of the level of impact.
Outgoing exchange students
KTH’s students can study abroad within the framework of their education at KTH, provided that:
- the host universities receive exchange students, and that the country allows entry
- The Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (UD) has not imposed travel restrictions on the country in question (this applies to both necessary and non-necessary travel).
Exchange students who cannot take up their exchange place due to cancelled exchanges or travel restrictions are offered a place in regular education at KTH. Where possible, the student is offered another place of exchange, alternatively exchange next semester.
Outgoing exchange students follow the partner university's academic calendar for HT21.
Incoming exchange students
KTH accepts incoming students for exchange studies, degree projects or internships in the autumn semester of 2021. Exchange studies require physical presence and cannot be done entirely remotely.
Incoming exchange students must be in Sweden at the time of the exchange (unless otherwise agreed within specific collaborations, e.g. Unite!, KTH-NOC-Singapore).
Degree project at bachelor's and master's level or internship abroad
KTH’s students can do degree projects or internships abroad provided that:
- the host universities, companies or organisations receive KTH students and that the country allows entry
- The Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (UD) has not imposed travel restrictions on the country in question (this applies to travel restrictions for both necessary and non-necessary travel).
