Minor Field Studies

Minor Field Studies, MFS, is a Sida funded travel grant that gives students the opportunity to perform a field study for eight consecutive weeks in a developing country, resulting in a bachelor's or master thesis. KTH applies centrally for scholarships to UHR, which then become available for to students to spply for. KTH staff can seek funds for contact travels through MFS directly from UHR.

Application process MFS scholarship

The program is coordinated nationally by the Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR) , from which KTH applying for funds. Students, in turn, apply for MFS scholarship directly to KTH. Information directed toward current students (in Swedish) .

Application process Contact trip

Akademic supervisors and other personnel involved have the opportunity to seek support for a tutor or contact trip, max 20 000 SEK. Applications are done four times a year directly to UHR .
