"Focusing on Future Education" (blog post 2022-04-26) Swedish then English

What type of teaching do we intend for the future? What should be done to prepare our Higher Education Institutions for the future? In what ways can we achieve a balance of the new with the old? All this and more is what we intend to present and discuss during the day on March 7th SoTL 2023.

KTH SoTL: conference for teaching and learning

The KTH Scholarship of Teaching and Learning conference is aimed at all teaching staff, pedagogical leaders, educational administration and students at KTH.

This year we have invited our colleagues Stockholm University and Karolinska Institute to contribute with their pedagogical ideas and be a part of the conference as part of the Stockholm Trio Alliance

Scholarship contains the following parts

(Martin et. Al. Communicating the scholarship of teaching. Developing scholarship in teaching)

  • Engage in other people's scientific contributions in the field of teaching and learning.

  • Reflect on their own teaching and students' learning in a specific area.

  • Communicate and disseminate good practice and theoretical knowledge around teaching and learning in general and within one's own subject.

Contribute and network with your colleagues!

We encourage all KTH, KI and SU staff and students interested in teaching and learning to contribute with a project, research, or pedagogical development work that you and/or your colleagues have done. The conference welcomes a number of formats: presentations, workshop, roundtable, debates and posters.

Some examples of what this could include are:

  • Educational challenges, opportunities, and solutions.
  • Implemented blended/hybrid learning strategies in your course that you would like to share
  • Other educational ideas and suggestions you have been using to create learning environments
  • Projects that you are involved in that you would like to present or discuss

  • As always with KTH SoTL, we welcome also other ideas and topics related to learning and SoTL

The aim is for you to

  • get something useful for your own practice

  • contribute to and be inspired by a discussion on tomorrow's engineering education

  • have the opportunity to expand your network
