Published Nov 16, 2020

Last Friday at KTH campus Valhallavägen a few teachers (following all FHM recommendations) tried out the format “hybrid teaching” in one of the newly updated auditoriums at KTH.

Organizers Anna-Karin Högfeldt  & Viggo Kann  with help from Mats Åhrman  from ITA and Fredrik Enoksson  from Digital learning were on hand to answer questions and help with the testing and pedagogical advice.

A zoom room was also created so we could see how it looked and sounded like as a participant online.

We tried all the different systems Microsoft, Mac and even Linux.

Tips for Mac users

You will need a driver software.

  • For those of you who have a wik's Mac computer, you need to go to KTH Self Service and download Displaylink.
  • For Mac standalone computers, download drivers here.

One new feature which brings back memories of the old overhead projectors, something we thought were put away for good, is the possibility to write on paper under the document camera which can be seen by online students and the ones in the auditorium.
