Från Vetenskap till Verklighet - Seminarium om hållbar utveckling med IVL och KTH, 19 februari
KTH och IVL har nu växlat upp och formaliserat sitt samarbete inom en rad olika områden som energi, klimat och vattenrening för att kunna bidra med ny kunskap som rör våra stora samhällsutmaningar. Kom och lyssna till exempel på hur forskningsresultat kan bidra till en hållbar samhällsutveckling. Datum: 19 februari 2015, Tid: 14.00–17.00 med efterföljande mingel, Plats: KTH. FET-OPEN supports early stage, high risk visionary collaborative research projects necessary for the successful exploration of new foundations for radically new future technologies. Call for Papers The 7th Tensions of Europe Conference: Technology and Environment
The 7th Tensions of Europe Conference will be hosted by the Division of History of Science, Technology and Environment, KTH Royal Institute of Technology together with the KTH Environmental Humanities Laboratory 3-6 September 2015. Tensions of Europe is a network of historians of technology that arrange a biannual conference to engage scholars in nearby disciplines and with complementing, disagreeing and engaging interests. The organizers welcome proposals concerning the conference theme of Technology and Environment as well as proposals on general themes of the Tensions of Europe network, such as transborder flows, common resources, conflicting interests, hidden integration and cultural practices. Deadline for proposal submissions is February 15.

Stormvarning Sessions III, February 19
Stormvarning bjuder in till säsongens tredje och sista Stormvarning Sessions på Kulturhuset i Stockholm den 19 februari. Tema för kvällen är: Klimatet, maten och hälsan – vad äter vi egentligen? Vi hoppas både kunna reda ut myter kring och lära oss mer om hur vår matkonsumtion påverkar vår planet och våra kroppar. Kvällens panel består av: Annika Carlsson-Kanyama, docent och klimatforskare, KTH/FOI, Lars Frölander, föreläsare och före detta simmare, Hanna Karlsson, SLU, Mats-Eric Nilsson, journalist, författare och föreläsare samt David Steinholtz, onkolog och forskare. Welcome to the inauguration of the new Solar Lab. The Solar Group at the division of Heat and Power Technology has built an unique solar laboratory for high flux solar research. More information and registration here.

Seminarium Energiforskning och Samhällsnytta, 4 mars
Välkomna till seminariet Energiforskning och Samhällsnytta den 4 mars 2015 kl.13.00–18.00 i sal D3, KTH. Seminariet handlar om Energimyndighetens forskningsprogram inom energisystem. Med 1,2 miljarder kronor finansierar Energimyndigheten forskning och innovation, i form av en strategisk samlad insats som spänner över hela innovationsområdet, från grundforskning till kommersialisering. Målet med finansieringen är att skapa förutsättningar för ett hållbart energisystem. Se programmet och anmäla dig här.

ICT for Transport workshop, March 4
The ICT for Transport workshop, hosted by the ICT and Transport Research Platforms is a forum for ICT and transport researchers at KTH and external partners. The intention is that this workshop will lead to common research projects and research grant proposals to e.g. Vinnova for large scale “ICT for transport” projects during 2015. The discussions will be focused on four topics: Autonomous and cooperative vehicles, ICT for transportation planning, ICT for traffic sensing, management and control and ICT for maintenance of transport systems. March 4th, Lecture hall L1 at 8.30-13.00.
