Call: funds from UCL to support cooperation under the "UCL Cities Partnerships Program"
UCL has selected Stockholm as the focus city 2020-2023. In addition to KTH, the collaboration also includes SU and KI (Stockholm trio). As well as the City of Stockholm and the Stockholm Region. UCL has now opened a call to support cooperation under the ”UCL Cities Partnerships Programme” https://www.ucl.ac.uk/global/news/2020/jan/ucl-cities-partnerships-programme-announcing-stockholm-2020-23

The theme for the collaboration is "Climate change and health in the city", with three sub-themes:
1. Traffic
2. Environment
3. Mental health and stress

UCL has now announced a first call for funding for projects under the program: More information available here at https://www.ucl.ac.uk/global/cities-partnerships-programme-funds

The main applicant needs to be from UCL. The application deadline is 13 December.

On-line conference ”Water at the Centre”, 3 December
Fostering innovation through partnership for a sustainable water future

Welcome to a digital conference at KTH where we put water at the centre. We will look at advances in science and technology that helps us manage water – our most precious resource – sustainably now and in the future. We also discuss the role of universities for collaborative knowledge production, in water as well as in other areas. What is needed of us to make collaboration meaningful?

Don’t miss the latest advances in water-related science and technology at KTH!

EU Emission Trading System (EU ETS) seminar, 9 dec
Welcome to a seminar with guest speaker Fredrik Hannertz, NAturvårdsverket (The Swedish EPA), about the EU Emission Trading System (EU ETS)14:00-15:00 on December 9. The EU ETS has fundamental effects on what really happens when a specific place(sector reduces its greenhouse gas emissions - without understanding this, it is hard to say anything about GHG-emissions in the EU. Do not miss this opportunity to learn more! Register here to participate in the seminar

Climate footprint can be cut by half with co-living
The climate footprint per person can be reduced by more than 50 percent when homes are designed to share common areas such as kitchens and bathrooms. This is some of the results from a study by KTH Live-in Lab and Akademiska Hus.
