Actually, Hans is a senior staff member in the department of radiology of the Universitair Ziekenhuis Brussel. He received his Medical Degree at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2002 and followed residency in the Middelheim Ziekenhuis in Antwerp and the Universitair Ziekenhuis Brussel.

Since 2007 Hans worked in the Universitair Ziekenhuis Brussel for the sections of Neuroradiology and Senology. Since 2009 Hans is responsible for emergency radiology, with the main interest in acute stroke CT, spectral CT, artificial intelligence, polytrauma, intensive care, and mass casualty imaging.

For the moment, Hans is a fellow and treasurer of the European Society of Emergency Radiology (ESER). He was a member of the scientific subcommittees for the section Emergency Radiology of the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) 2019-2020 and the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) 2020. He is a scientific session abstract reviewer for the multisystem subcommittee of the RSNA 2021. Hans is also an active member of the American Society of Emergency Radiology (ASER) since 2006 and has functioned as a faculty member during multiple ASER meetings as a speaker, moderator, and workshop facilitator.
