2025 Environmental Thesis Scholarship Recipients Present Their Work
Following a semester of dedicated work, on the 28th of May, the twelve recipients of a scholarship offered by the Engineers of Sweden presented the results of ten different projects aimed at addressing environmental challenges in Sweden and beyond.
Water treatment breakthroughs, urban and ecosystem resilience, and innovative thermal energy storage solutions, are just a few of the themes that have been explored by this year’s scholarship recipients. Encompassing a truly wide range of scientific and geographical perspectives, the projects presented – each of which has received a scholarship of 50,000 SEK from the environmental grant (Miljöfonden) of the Engineers of Sweden – offered innovative takes on some of the most pressing environmental problems in Sweden and beyond. Sharing unique insights into how these problems might be tackled, they demonstrated the importance of continued efforts to do so, pointing towards practical solutions and directions for further studies.
