New Head of School appointed for EECS

Professor of signal processing Joakim Jaldén has been appointed as the new head of the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS). He will take up his post at the turn of the year, when the current Head of School, Ann Lantz, steps down.

Strengthening competence and collegial responsibility

KTH is moving forward with efforts to renew its career system. A new report proposes clearer requirements, fairer assessments, and a stronger focus on actual competence and collegial responsibility. The proposals are based on broad internal dialogue and aim to increase transparency and enhance overall quality.

Anders Söderholm has been President of KTH, for three years, and 1 December marked the halfway point.

“However, half the job is not done. These three years have gone by very quickly, and we are in the midst of extensive change,” he says.

New login routine from 24 February

Starting 24 February, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will be mandatory for access to KTH’s services and systems for all employees and affiliates.

New parking operator 2026

From 1 January 2026, Smart Parkering AB will take over the management of KTH’s parking areas. In connection with this change, a new digital parking system will be introduced, meaning that the current physical parking permits will be replaced by digital permits for employees.

KTH introduces a new system for expenses and travel reimbursement

On 2 February, KTH-RES will be replaced by the new system, KTH-Expense (Hogia). The new system will simplify and streamline the handling of expenses, mileage, and travel allowances. At the same time, a new way of working is being introduced, where the travel request is replaced by dialogue between manager and employee.

Prior to the system change

  • Complete any ongoing expense reports from 2025, preferably before the end of the year.​
  • Address returned reports.​
  • If needed, download and save approved travel requests and expense reports.​​
