Urban mobility is changing rapidly due to new business models, and upcoming technological advancements like connected and automated mobility.
The Division of Transport and Systems Analysis at KTH is seeking a highly qualified candidate for a postdoctoral research position in Transportation Policy. The successful candidate will conduct research on policies related to on-demand responsive mobility, with the overarching goals of reducing transport inequalities, enhancing accessibility, and improving social welfare. The postdoc will employ methodologies such as activity-based agent-based modeling, social welfare theory, and distributional analysis. Case studies will be developed in collaboration with local transport agencies and mobility providers.
Qualifications
Requirements
- A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.
- Proven experience with the activity-based agent-based model MATSim
- Publications in transportation research journals
- Ability to fluently communicate in English (written and oral), will be required in the day-to-day work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred qualifications
- A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline
- Knowledge of programming tools (e.g., JAVA, C++, Python)
- Familiarity with travel demand modeling and accessibility analysis
