Thank you Vladimir Cvetkovic!

On 23 October 2024, SEED expressed its gratitude for Vladimir Cvetkovic's important contributions to both the academic environment and the field of Water Resources Engineering, and his lasting impact on the department and the broader scientific community. Today, Vladimir holds the position of Professor Emeritus at SEED and continues to be highly valued.
Professor Vladimir Cvetkovic began his journey at KTH in 1981 as a doctoral student in the field of Hydraulic Engineering, specialising in Water Resources Engineering within the Civil Engineering programme. He completed his PhD in 1986 under the supervision of Professor Ian Larsen, with his thesis titled "Fluid flow and solute travel times in heterogeneous porous media." He became a docent in 1989 in Water Resources Engineering, and was appointed Associate Professor in 1989, later becoming a full professor in 1995 in the same field.
Over the years, Vladimir has been a dedicated supervisor, mentoring numerous doctoral students (not less than around 20(!)). His significant contributions also extend to the co-development of Digital Futures (KTH), online education, and his work with the Swedish Nuclear Fuel and Waste Management Company (SKB) alongside significant scientific publication.
