About KTH

KTH is Sweden's largest university for technical education and research. It has more than 5,000 employees and around 17,000 students worldwide. KTH is an authority run on behalf of the government and led by a board. The President is the authoriy's chief executive and is supported by a management team.

The goal of the University Administration is to provide high-quality and cost-effective support that ensures organizational benefit by being integrated into the operations and easily accessible.

KTH celebrates 200 years

KTH turns 200 in 2027. The anniversary year is an opportunity to come together and draw inspiration from our history to strengthen the university for the future. You are welcome to contribute suggestions for the anniversary or the anniversary book.

Future Education

The development of KTH’s educational activities is carried out through a change program structured within a framework consisting of 13 principles.

Campus relocation

In 2023, the University Board decided that KTH’s operations will be concentrated to three campuses. The relocation is taking place gradually and began during the spring semester of 2025 for parts of the organization.
