Zahra Kalantari Receives Funding for Joint Doctoral Students with international partner universities

Vice President for International Relations, Professor Stefan Östlund, has decided on the allocation of funding for joint doctoral students with international partner universities. One of the recipients is Professor Zahra Kalantari , for a collaboration with the Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Professor Haozhi Pan, on the joint project “Resilient Innovation and Generative AI for Sustainable Forest Management in the Anthropocene.”
Since 2022, KTH’s Vice President for International Relations has been running a pilot initiative on joint doctoral students to strengthen relationships with selected partner universities. For the 2025 initiative, a total of SEK 6 million per year has been allocated from the funds over a four-year period. A total of 22 project applications were submitted, of which 12 projects have been awarded funding of SEK 500,000 each over four years.
