Introduction to GPUs Course
15 & 22 Sept (pm only, online); 12 & 13 Oct (all day, in person)
For researchers who are new to using GPUs: learn about GPU systems and how to adapt your existing CPU research code for GPUs

Schedule
- 15 & 22 September (afternoons only, online)
– understand GPUs and what types of problems to use them for, try basic exercises running jobs on the Dardel GPUs and using OpenMP, HIP and SYCL 12 & 13 October (all day, in person at PDC)
– practise adapting a short piece of code for GPUs with OpenMP, HIP or SYCL, have an opportunity to get advice on preparing to adapt your own code

Requirements
- Participants need to have experience working with C/C++ or Fortran.
Note: Anyone wanting to use HIP or SYCL during the course will need to have some knowledge of C++. Participants need to have an account at PDC before the course starts. If you do not already have a PDC account, you can apply for one at www.pdc.kth.se/support/documents/getting_access/get_access.html#apply-via-pdc-webpage .
As it takes a while to get an account, we recommend applying for an account early.
